SAWS & Wild Virginia Wild Crew Work Day in St. Mary’s Wilderness

Team up with SAWS and Wild Virginia on September 16th to cut back vegetation and clear downed trees along the Cellar Mountain Trail in St. Mary's Wilderness. We will meet at 9 am at the Smiley’s Fuel City truck stop in Raphine, VA (exit 205 on I-81). From there, we will drive to the trailhead. SAWS will provide PPE (hardhat, safety glasses and work gloves), tools and will teach proper safety and brushing techniques. Participants need to wear long pants,…

Pisgah Pride Day

SAWS-Naval Academy Crew Volunteer Day in Thunder Ridge Wilderness

Come join the US Naval Academy midshipmen in Thunder Ridge Wilderness on June 16th for a volunteer day focusing on removing overgrown vegetation and downed trees from the Glenwood Horse Trail. We will meet at the overflow parking lot for lake access at Cave Mountain Lake Campground at 9 am on June 16th and caravan up to the trailhead.  Register on the form below.
