National Public Lands Day- Linville Gorge Wilderness

Come out and help celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards is partnering with Carolina Climbing Coalition, Wildsouth, and the USFS for work on the Shortoff Trail located in the Linville Gorge Wilderness. The day will begin at the Table Rock parking area at 9 am and will finish up at 3 pm. SAWS will provide hardhats, gloves, eye protection, and tools.   Location: Robbinsville, NC Address: Stecoah Gap   Join a Wild East Women's Work Day near Stecoah Gap on Saturday, Sept. 28. Work includes essential trail maintenance functions, like brushing annual growth, cleaning drains, and digging new or enhancing existing reverse grade dips. Come out for a day's work in the woods to improve the Appalachian Trail from Wilbur Dam Road to Vandeventer Shelter. Ramseys Draft Partnership Day with PATC-SSVC
