Saturday, September 28th, we will be celebrating National Public Lands Day with another trail work day. Our plans include tread work and small tree clearing in Ellicott Rock Wilderness. We may hike 2-4 miles this day. We will provide safety equipment and tools. In order to participate, everyone will need to have gloves, glasses, hard hat, long pants and sturdy boots. National Public Lands Day- Linville Gorge Wilderness

Come out and help celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards is partnering with Carolina Climbing Coalition, Wildsouth, and the USFS for work on the Shortoff Trail located in the Linville Gorge Wilderness. The day will begin at the Table Rock parking area at 9 am and will finish up at 3 pm. SAWS will provide hardhats, gloves, eye protection, and tools. Women’s Work Day- Big Laurel Branch Wilderness, Tennessee

Come out for a day's work in the woods to improve the Appalachian Trail from Wilbur Dam Road to Vandeventer Shelter. This section of the A.T. runs right through the heart of Big Laurel Branch Wilderness. We'll be dedicating our efforts to cutting annual growth.
