#Optoutside in Beartown Wilderness on Friday November 29th

November 29 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

#Optoutside and avoid the busy Black Friday crowds and come out with SAWS to improve                                             Roaring Fork Trail in Beartown Wilderness!

On Friday, November 29th, work will focus on removing fallen trees from the trail using crosscut saws—no prior saw experience is needed!  Crosscut saws are traditional tools that have been used since the 15th century and operating one provides a unique experience.  We will also pick-up trash in the area leading up to the wilderness boundary. If we have enough volunteers, there is minor brushwork to complete along the farthest sections of trail.

All training, tools, and protective equipment will be provided. Wear long pants, sturdy boots, and bring personal lunch/snacks, and plenty of water.   Please be prepared to hike 3-5 miles throughout the workday.

To RSVP, or for more information, contact Rachel Crump, rachelcrump@wildernessstewards.org
