National Public Lands Day: Ocoee, TN, September 22

September 22 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Saturday, September 22 is the 25th annual National Public Lands Day!
This year, we are celebrating on the Ocoee Ranger District of the Cherokee National Forest by working on the Old Copper Road trail. This year is themed around resilience and restoration. We will be brushing, clearing, and doing litter pick-up!

Who: Passionate volunteers and partners
When: September 22, @ 9:30 – 2:00
Where: Ocoee Whitewater Center HERE  for directions, and HERE for more info about the Whitewater Center
What to bring: P.P.E. (gloves, eye protections, long pants, boots), plenty of water, brushing/clearing/litter pick-up tools if you have it. If you don’t, we will take of you!

We will return to the trailhead for a lunch cookout. The FS wants to provide cups, plates, utensils, hamburgers & hotdogs!

We just need some willing friends to bring:
-drinks
-chips
-hotdog buns
-hamburger buns
-desserts

Our natural resources are resilient, but only if we treat them right. Through volunteer service and stewardship, your continued efforts help ensure the resource and cause for future generations. Thank you for your dedication to these lands!

If you have any questions or can provide supplies for lunch, contact Mason Boring at masonboring@wildernessstewards.org.
